Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Erie seeks a dedicated Security staff member to support the residential program, ensuring a safe, respectful environment for residents pursuing life transformation. This role emphasizes night security coverage, observation, and incident documentation.

Responsibilities include checking IDs, authorizing access, patrolling, monitoring alarms and cameras, coordinating with emergency services when needed, and completing log entries.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Security experience preferred.
• Must be able to write log entries and incident reports as needed.
• Must be in agreement with The Salvation Army’s Christian spiritual approach to rehabilitation.
• Must be certified in basic First Aid including Narcan administration or become certified within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Check personnel for proper identification and clearance.
• Permit and document authorized people to enter property and document anyone exiting.
• Conduct rounds throughout the building, maintain log book, and monitor alarm systems and video surveillance.
• Request emergency personnel for any high-risk situations.
• Sound alarm or call police or fire department by telephone in case of fire, difficulty with unauthorized people, or medical emergencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
