Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Security staff member to support the residential program with night security, ensuring a caring, safe atmosphere for those seeking life transformation through ARC.

Responsibilities include checking IDs, documenting access, conducting rounds, monitoring alarms and cameras, and coordinating with emergency services as needed. Must work nights, weekends, and holidays and align with the Christian rehabilitation approach.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Security experience preferred.
• Must be able to write log entries and incident reports as needed.
• Must be in agreement with The Salvation Army’s Christian spiritual approach to rehabilitation.
• Must be certified in basic First Aid including Narcan administration or become certified within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Check personnel for proper identification and clearance.
• Permit and document authorized people to enter property and document anyone exiting.
• Conduct rounds throughout the building, maintain log book, and monitor alarm systems and video surveillance.
• Request emergency personnel for any high-risk situations.
• Sound alarm or call police or fire department by telephone in case of fire, difficulty with unauthorized people, or medical emergencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
