Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Residential Development in New York. You will serve and safeguard clients, monitor properties, and deliver exceptional customer service.

The role involves patrolling, observing, and responding to routine incidents to maintain a secure environment. Minimum requirements include a NYS Security Guard License, high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to undergo background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Subject to background investigation.
• Drug screen required by law where permitted.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and tenants while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and with proper escalation.
• Conduct regular patrols of property, building areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitors, tenants, and contractors per site requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly.
