Job summary

Baptist Health in Downtown Jacksonville is seeking a Security Officer to protect patients, visitors and staff during the night shift (6:00 PM – 6:15 AM). You will patrol facilities, escort individuals, and respond to incidents to ensure safety and security across the medical center.

Preference given to candidates with 1-2 years of security or law enforcement experience; a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Driver's License are required. Rotating weekends apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Driver's license required.
• 1-2 years security officer or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Patrol Baptist Downtown property to ensure safety.
• Provide escort services to patients, visitors and staff.
• Respond to unsafe situations and incidents promptly.
• Enforce hospital parking regulations and direct traffic as needed.
• Report unusual circumstances and take appropriate corrective actions.
