Responsibilities

• Maintain a secured environment during disasters, fires, or bomb threats.
• Interact with the public regarding safety, visitor control, thefts, and security issues.
• Direct strangers or escort them off the campus as needed.
• Conducts package inspection and checks equipment leaving the facility.
• Report hazards or malfunctions to the proper department.
• Check employee/service ID for access control.
• May use force as necessary to protect staff and visitors.
• Operate security equipment and demonstrate basic computer skills.
