Job summary

SLS LUX Brickell in Miami is seeking a Security Agent to maintain a safe environment for guests and team members. Under the Security Manager, you will patrol premises, monitor surveillance and respond to incidents.

This role requires a High School Diploma, 1–2 years in public-facing roles, and solid knowledge of safety protocols. You will prepare written reports, assist in emergency responses, and uphold hospitality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years in a public contact position, preferably in upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
• Proven experience as security officer or guard.
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security.
• Familiarity with report writing.
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
• Gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and teamwork.
• Stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies and maintain composure.
• Physical ability to twist, tow/push/pull, reach, bend, climb and carry.
• Excellent reading, writing and spoken English.
• Work indoors and outdoors year-round.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests and employees.
• Patrol both interior and exterior perimeters and report to Director of Security on issues.
• Prevent losses by reporting irregularities and restraining trespassers.
• Respond to emergencies and prepare written reports.
• Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate safety equipment.
• Perform first aid or CPR when needed.
• Adhere to all company service and operating standards and regulations.
