Job summary

SLS LUX Brickell seeks a Security Agent to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff by patrolling premises and monitoring activities. You will deter threats, report incidents, assist in emergencies, and ensure compliance with all safety standards.

The role requires a high level of vigilance, excellent communication, and the ability to work a full-time schedule in a hospitality setting, both indoors and outdoors, year-round.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
• Proven experience as security officer or guard.
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
• Familiarity with report writing.
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
• Gracious, friendly demeanor.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
• Maintain positive relationships with other employees and departments.
• Ability to work independently and with others to promote teamwork.
• Must stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift.
• Ability to respond quickly to various situations while handling stress.
• Physical capability to twist, tow, reach, bend, climb and carry objects.
• Excellent reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension of English.
• Work indoors and outdoors year-round as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests and employees.
• Patrol inside and outside perimeters; report issues to Security Director.
• Prevent losses by reporting irregularities and restraining trespassers.
• Respond to emergencies and prepare written reports.
• Observe alarm systems and video cameras; operate emergency equipment.
• Provide first aid or CPR when needed.
