Harvard Protection Services is seeking a Security Officer to join our night shift team in Philadelphia. The role focuses on professional customer-focused security and life safety services for people and property.

The position requires a state or municipal security license, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain a guard license. You will greet visitors, monitor entrances, patrol the facility, and document incidents.

Qualifications

• Licenses mandated by state or municipality for security officers.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be able to obtain a security guard license if not already licensed.
• Reliable communication and transportation.
• Strong interpersonal and professional appearance.
• Experience in security, law enforcement, military, or customer service is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional demeanor while aiding customers, employees, and visitors.
• Maintain a visible security presence in the assigned facility.
• Monitor the environment and detect suspicious or unsafe activity.
• Know customers, tenants, visitors, and guests; greet them professionally.
• Answer phones professionally and enforce site policies.
• Conduct required patrols on foot or by vehicle.
• Prepare incident and accident reports as directed.
• Monitor alarms and systems and follow emergency procedures.
