Job summary

Allied Universal in Duncan, South Carolina is seeking a Security Officer to monitor and protect client facilities in manufacturing and industrial settings. The role focuses on access control, badge procedures, responding to alarms, and delivering excellent customer service during assigned day night shifts.

The position requires basic computer or tablet use, prior security or customer service experience is preferred, and a background check along with a drug screen are standard employment

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background investigation required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation and shift communications with clear and accurate details.
