Job summary

Allied Universal in Duncan, SC is seeking a Security Officer - Construction Access to guard client facilities in manufacturing and industrial settings. You will monitor access, patrol areas, respond to alarms, and provide exceptional customer service while following site procedures.

The role is full-time, with pay rate of $14.91 per hour, and offers opportunities for growth, training, and benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures and site policies at manufacturing/industrial locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and report unusual conditions to leadership.
• Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications with clear details.
