Mattel in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Security Officer to protect employees, guests, products, and brands. This on-site role requires weekend and holiday work with a Friday-Tuesday night schedule.

Qualifications

• One+ years of Security, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, Law Enforcement, or military background preferred.
• High school diploma or GED, required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a valid Security Guard License, (where required).
• Must be certified in First Aid, CPR, and Blood-borne Pathogens, OR be willing to obtain certification through training provided by Mattel.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with the public and with all levels of the organization in the performance of daily duties via multiple communication methods and platforms
• Analytical abilities to think critically making clear, well-reasoned rational decisions.
• Ability to effectively respond to all types of situations in a confidential manner. Possess the ability to remain calm during an emergency or stressful situation.
• Working knowledge of PCs and software including MS Windows, Microsoft Office, CCTV and access control is a plus.
• Must be able to work varying shifts including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business policies, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, and business correspondence, including detailed incident reports writing.
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk, go up/downstairs and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Outdoor post assignments (where applicable) may require an individual to withstand extreme heat, humidity, cold, and/or severe weather (e.g. snow, sleet, rain, hail, wind).
• Ability to use post-security equipment (handheld and walk-thru metal detectors, handheld radios, access control systems, CCTV).

Responsabilités

• Support Mattel’s Global Security Strategy by providing excellent customer service.
• Enforce security policies to maintain a safe environment for all employees and visitors.
• Complete security duties under the direction of the Security Leader/Shift Supervisor and Security Manager.
• Conduct patrols on foot, in a vehicle, and digitally to monitor campuses for security and facilities concerns.
• Monitor the fire control panel for alarms and report issues to Facilities.
• Perform administrative data entry for incident documentation and communications via Microsoft suite.
• Ensure adherence to access control standards including badge policy, visitor registration, and intern badging.
• Ensure parking lot safety by enforcing rules and responding to incidents.
• Support IP processes surrounding confidentiality and controlled destruction of IP.
• Flexible to work on multiple shifts to support business needs.
• This is an onsite position with no remote work.
