Job summary

ADESA in Oklahoma is seeking a Security Guard to patrol the facility, secure gates and protect staff and vehicles on a 3rd shift (Fri-Mon, 11pm-6am, 32hrs) with starting pay of $15/hour.

Responsibilities include verifying access, inputting vehicle data on handheld devices, de-escalating conflicts, and maintaining professional appearance while delivering courteous service to customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of customer service experience
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license
• Able to stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Secure gates and patrol the premises; respond to emergencies
• Verify authorized individuals enter the property; provide directions
• Check gate passes and departing vehicles for authorization
• Greet customers at the gate and resolve complaints
• De-escalate difficult situations and collaborate with partners
• Input vehicle information using handheld devices; verify VIN with shipper's Bill of Lading
• Maintain equipment and report maintenance needs
• Maintain professional appearance and teamwork
• Ensure good flow of communication with auction team members
