Nidec Minster Corporation is seeking a part-time Security Officer for the 3rd shift in Ohio. The role supports a safe, secure, and welcoming environment by monitoring access, performing property checks, and providing a visible presence during the 12:00am–8:00am Saturday and Sunday shifts.

Responsibilities include controlling access, assisting visitors and vendors, patrolling facilities and parking areas, monitoring cameras, and completing logs.

• Provide entry assistance as needed to visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Conduct periodic walks of the facility and parking areas.
• Monitor security cameras and report unusual activity.
• Complete basic shift logs and incident reports, as needed.
• Secure doors, gates, and buildings during non-operating hours.
• Respond to employee or visitor questions and provide assistance as needed.
• Report safety concerns, maintenance issues, or policy violations to management.
• Support emergency procedures when necessary, including assisting with emergency response procedures, including evacuations, severe weather events, and medical emergencies.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Driver's license required.
• Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated.
• Capable of walking long distances while securing the facility.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to use basic computer programs and security systems.
• Previous security, military, manufacturing, or customer service experience is a plus.
