Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for the care team.

The role requires graduation from a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program, an active RCP license, and an NBRC RRT credential; ACLS is preferred. Shift is 7 pm to 7 am with eligible shift differential and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by NBRC.
• Preferred Education: ACLS.
• Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
