Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA seeks an RN Team Lead for the Mother Baby unit on nights. You’ll supervise staff, coach performance, and coordinate patient care while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role combines clinical nursing with leadership responsibilities, including scheduling, budgeting support, and quality initiatives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Requirements include an Associate degree or diploma in nursing, Virginia RN license, BLS-HCP, and

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma in nursing from a State Board-approved program.
• RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification (C-EFM) may be required as determined by the department.
• Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required. ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP may be required based on specific work unit.
• Must demonstrate effective leadership, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and coordinate department operations and staff.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the service area.
• Provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance documentation.
• Assist with schedules, staffing coverage, and workflow management.
• Collaborate on budget, resource allocation, and expense control.
• Support quality initiatives and patient satisfaction efforts.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with JC, CLIA, OSHA, and other standards.
