Job summary

Corewell Health's 9 North Medical unit in Royal Oak seeks an experienced RN to provide comprehensive care on a fast-paced, 35-bed unit. You’ll use the nursing process to assess and deliver patient-centered care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and contributing to patient education and discharge planning.

Qualifications include MI RN licensure, AASN/ diploma or BSN, and BLS; grow through shared governance and ongoing professional development in a Magnet-designated system.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with MI license upon hire or shortly after.
• BLS certified prior to or on hire date.
• NCLEX licensure required for licensure in Michigan.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or required within timeframe.
• Experience with nursing process and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate, discharge) to provide care.
• Deliver patient-family centered care and document education in the health record.
• Collaborate with the Nurse Leader and multidisciplinary team on care planning.
• Develop teaching strategies for patients and families and document learning outcomes.
