Job summary

Northwell Health’s Sharon Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery, working a night shift on a 36-hour schedule. The role includes direct patient care, fetal monitoring, and collaboration with physicians to adjust care plans.

Required CT RN licensure with BLS; NRP and ACLS within six months, and STABLE Neonatal training. Minimum one year of L&D experience preferred; strong assessment and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• CT Registered Nurse licensure is required.
• One year of RN Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP and ACLS certification must be completed within six months of hire.
• STABLE Neonatal Program completion within six months is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting.
• Performs assessment and planning for individualized patient care.
• Communicates with physicians about changes in patient condition and fetal monitoring results.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
