Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Hospital – College Station, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the IMCU/Telemetry Unit. The 40-bed unit provides care to adults requiring increased monitoring and nursing support, including cardiac, stroke, and multi-organ dysfunction cases.

This role emphasizes strong clinical judgment and teamwork. The RN will oversee patient care using a professional practice model, develop care plans, and coordinate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs.
• Create, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members about health needs.
• Delegate tasks based on patient condition and team competencies.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and ensure patient safety.
