Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Hospital – College Station, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care/Telemetry Unit (IMCU). This 40-bed unit cares for adults needing increased monitoring and nursing care. Self-scheduling and a 36-hour workweek are offered, with days 7:00 AM–7:00 PM.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong clinical judgment and dedication to patient safety are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license required and active.
• BLS certification required or within 30 days of start.
• Experience in IMCU/Telemetry or acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Prioritize patient and family needs and document progress.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on care plans.
• Delegate tasks to team members and ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with colleagues for effective care delivery.
• Use clinical judgment to adapt care plans for complex cases.
• Contribute to team development and quality improvement.
