Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, North Carolina, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – House Supervisor for night shifts. This role provides 24-hour coordination of patient placement and works with Medical Staff and Administration to optimize hospital resources.

You will perform patient assessments, initiate nursing interventions, document medical necessity, and maintain care plans and QI assessments to ensure quality patient care across departments.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in North Carolina (or compact state).
• BSN preferred; acute care and management experience.
• 4 years' acute care nursing and supervisory experience recommended.
• AHA BLS current; ACLS and PALS within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation of medical necessity.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
