Job summary

Mercy San Juan Medical Center, part of Dignity Health, is seeking a night full-time Family Birth Center (FBC) RN with Labor & Delivery and Postpartum experience. You will provide specialized high-risk perinatal care in a Level III setting, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient and family outcomes.

The role includes assessement, care planning, documentation, and mentoring of staff, with a $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• 1 year Labor & Delivery and Postpartum RN experience from an accredited hospital.
• Fetal monitoring experience.
• Active RN license in California.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• NRP certificate current.
• NCC fetal monitoring certificate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring course within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: perform total body and system assessment each shift according to unit standards.
• Care of Patient: plan, implement, evaluate and educate.
• Clinical/Technical Skills: use unit-specific protocols and interventions.
• Documentation: legible, timely and accurate documentation in the computerized system.
• Leadership: accept responsibility and cooperate with facility leadership.
• Precepting/Mentoring: orient new staff and mentor students.
