Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals in Dallas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (7:00pm–7:00am) with rotating weekends. As a Float Pool nurse, you may cover Ortho, MedSurg, Tele, and PCU units, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care with a focus on safety and outcomes.

Responsibilities include admission assessment, medication administration, timely documentation, patient education, and rapid response to changing clinical situations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Current RN license in TX or compact license.
• BLS certification by AHA or Red Cross.
• ACLS certification by AHA or Red Cross.
• Minimum of one year acute care hospital experience in the last three years.
• Experience in Ortho, Med Surg, Tele, or PCU preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Administer medications, monitor response, document care in medical record.
• Provide prompt, responsive care and address patient needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, medications and follow-up measures.
