Job summary

Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is seeking an experienced RN to lead the Critical Decision Unit (Observation) on night shift. The role emphasizes autonomy, coordination of care, and collaboration with hospital teams to ensure safe, timely patient management in a 19-bed unit.

You will utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, documenting teaching for patients and families, and communicating with the health care team to drive optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Enrollment in BSN program within 3 years of hire.
• Completion of BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in coordinating and delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care.
• Apply the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and families.
• Communicate pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
• Identify and help implement solutions for variances from patient goals.
