BARNES-JEWISH HOSPITAL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the 24-bed Observation Unit on the South Campus. This full-time role offers nights, a 36-hour week, and a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for external applicants.

The unit handles short-term treatment, monitoring, and recovery typically within a 24-hour stay. Join a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with diverse patient care experiences and strong ED partnerships.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's- Nursing.
• Experience: No Experience (or no formal required) / Supervisor Experience: No Experience.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and their families on illness management and post-treatment home care needs.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Participates in professional development.
• Develops and documents plans of care with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Proactively plans and communicates the plan of care across the continuum of care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
