Job summary

Rochester Regional Health Clifton Springs Nursing Home is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for night shifts. You will implement and update care plans, perform cardiopulmonary evaluations, administer respiratory therapies, and educate patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent.
• New York State RT license with current registration or RTT license with NBRC CRT credentials.
• ACLS certification required within one year of hire (except non-acute areas).

Responsibilities

• Review patient data, history, exams, vital signs, admission and current respiratory care orders for each patient assigned.
• Advise providers on appropriate respiratory care procedures and techniques for a given patient care situation.
• Assemble and check respiratory care equipment for proper function, operation and cleanliness.
• Recommend, conduct, and document prescribed therapeutic procedures including medication administration and airway care.
• Monitor and document clinical parameters; modify treatment based on patient response.
