Rochester General Hospital within Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to implement care plans, perform evaluations, administer therapies, and educate patients and families. The role requires activating and monitoring ventilator support, airway care, and bronchodilator therapies in a night-shift schedule.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in respiratory therapy, NY RT license (or RTT with NBRC CRT), and current ACLS certification.

Qualificações

• ACLS certification (current) required within one year of hire.
• Associate degree or equivalent in Respiratory Care.
• Active NY RT license with registration or RTT license and NBRC CRT credentials.

Responsabilidades

• Review and evaluate patient data and respiratory care orders.
• Assess data such as blood gases, hemodynamics, ECG, and radiology findings.
• Advise providers on appropriate respiratory care procedures.
• Prepare and check respiratory care equipment for safety and cleanliness.
• Document and administer prescribed therapeutic procedures and therapies.
• Monitor clinical parameters and adjust treatment as needed.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care plans.
• Collaborate with the health care team to implement the plan of care.
• Maintain ACLS and participate in emergency resuscitation when needed.
• Perform orientation and teaching of staff and students.
