Job summary

Aurora St. Luke's South Shore - Cudahy, WI is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for nights (0.9 FTE) with every 4th weekend. You will operate ventilators, provide therapies, educate patients, and collaborate with care teams to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications include a state RCP license, NBRC credentials within 12 months, BLS, and at least an associate degree; no prior experience is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program with at least an associate degree.
• RCP license required in the practicing state.
• NBRC credential (RRT or CRT) within the specified timeframe.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate ventilators in critical and non-critical care settings.
• Provide medication therapies per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients on purpose, technique and goals of therapy.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and ensure functionality of equipment.
• Coordinate with other departments for patient education and safety.
• Deliver clear handoffs and participate in safety initiatives.
