Job summary

Northwest Community Hospital – Arlington Heights, IL seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for full-time night shifts. The role involves a broad range of therapies, patient assessments, and staff guidance in a busy hospital setting. Night hours run 7pm–7:30am with rotating weekends and holidays.

Sign-on bonus of $25,000 is offered. Requires graduation from a CoARC-accredited program, RRT certification or registry eligibility, IL licensure within 6 months, and CPR; ACLS/NRP/PALS within 24 months.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CoARC-accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or registry-eligible status.
• State licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner within 6 months.
• Current CPR certification.
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS required within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform and guide respiratory therapies, chest PT, and cardiopulmonary diagnostics.
• Assess and treat patients from neonatal to geriatric with developmentally appropriate plans.
• Administer therapies and manage equipment safely and effectively.
• Provide patient and family education and maintain accurate documentation.
• Supervise Respiratory Therapy Techs and assist in department operations.
