Job summary

BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital – WJMC Campus in Marrero, LA is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for per diem/PRN shifts (nights 7p-7:30a). The role administers respiratory care per physician orders, monitors ventilation, and conducts patient assessments as part of a team at West Jefferson Medical Center.

Minimum education: AMA‑approved School of Respiratory Care; NBRC credentials with state licensure; BLS and ACLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Respiratory Care.
• Current NBRC credentials and state licensure.
• BLS & ACLS certifications required.
• 1 year of respiratory care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer safe respiratory care as ordered by a physician.
• Monitor mechanical ventilation and review blood work results.
• Complete patient assessments and monitor patient status.
• Provide education and training as part of the care team.
