Job summary

Carson Valley Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (Nights) for full-time, with a retention bonus available. The therapist will perform respiratory therapy procedures for patients from newborn to geriatric ages and provide care in ICU, ER, and medical/surgical units, including night-time functions and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities include 12-lead ECGs, pulmonary function testing, and overnight oximetry testing; licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Nevada or eligibility

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved respiratory care program.
• Nevada license as Respiratory Care Practitioner or eligible.
• ACLS, PALS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum two years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care per protocol and physician orders.
• Perform 12-lead ECGs, pulmonary function tests and overnight oximetry.
• Document care in patient records and communicate with care team.
• Respond to Code Team, Rapid Response Team, and Trauma activations as needed.
