Job summary

Springfield Hospital, Inc. seeks a Respiratory Therapist to perform assessments and follow guidelines across hospital areas, emphasizing compassionate and efficient care. The role requires licensure and NBRC certification, with teaching elements and strong communication skills.

The schedule is 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, including every other weekend and holidays. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Vermont Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Registration or Certification with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• One year clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• PALS (preferred).
• NRP certificate (preferred).
• Two years' clinical experience, including emergency care (preferred).
• Experience with outpatient testing, e.g., PFT, stress testing, cardiac monitors (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Use Respiratory Assessment throughout all areas of the hospital when caring for patients.
• Follow the AARC Clinical Practice Guidelines.
• Promote compassionate, efficient, cost effective quality patient care, while demonstrating qualities consistent for the role.
• Incorporate teaching principles into all practices.
• Show use of written and verbal communication skills in all aspects of the role.
