Job summary

Sihf seeks a Respiratory Therapist Registered to provide high-quality cardiopulmonary care for all ages under physician orders in Cahokia, IL. The role includes evenings/nights, with a $15,000 sign-on bonus and on-site duties.

Responsibilities include administering inhalants, Ventilator care, ABG analysis, and charting in the EMR. You will collaborate with the care team and ensure safe operation of equipment and infection control.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved AMA program required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Current Registration by the NBRC required.
• Illinois State license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist required.
• Current Basic Life Support required.

Responsibilities

• Administers inhalants and operates ventilators per physician orders.
• Evaluates and adjusts therapy based on patient progress.
• Documents care in EMR and department systems.
• Performs arterial puncture, ABG analysis, PFTs and related tests.
• Ensures safety of equipment and infection control.
• Collaborates with physicians, nursing staff and care team.
• Educates patients on treatment usage.
