Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital in Illinois seeks a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to care for neonatal patients with respiratory needs. You will lead invasive/non-invasive ventilation, CPAP, surfactant administration, and nitric oxide therapies in the NICU, coordinating with care teams and families.

The role requires IL licensure, RRT, CPR, NRP, and Level 3 NICU experience, with a possible $20,000 sign-on.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, treat, and care for neonatal patients requiring respiratory interventions.
• Provide advanced airway management including intubation.
• Manage modalities: invasive/non-invasive ventilation, bubble CPAP, HFOV, jet ventilation.
• Administer medications via nebulizer and surfactant; handle medical gases.
• Attend high-risk deliveries and neonatal codes; interpret gases and X-ray results.
• Precept new team members and educate families; participate in quality improvement.
