Job summary

As a Residential Support Specialist with Pittsburgh Mercy, you will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives. You will provide personalized care, support daily living activities, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote quality of life.

You will work night shifts, follow care plans, and participate in community integration efforts, with benefits starting on day one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Valid Driver License and the ability to drive an organization vehicle.
• Access to transportation travel locally.
• Act 33/34/73 Clearances.
• Pre-Employment Drug Screen, Physical/TB.
• Must successfully pass Department of Public Welfare Medication Training within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care and develop tailored care plans.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including hygiene, meals, medication administration.
• Implement behavioral support plans with the team.
• Facilitate community integration through activities and events.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and communicate progress.
