Job summary

Havenwyck Hospital, a UHS facility in Auburn Hills, Michigan, is seeking a Residential Care Specialist to work full time from 7:00pm to 7:30am. You will provide a safe and therapeutic environment, monitor residents, and assist with activities of daily living for children and adolescents while supporting admissions, discharges and transfers.

Under the supervision of the Director of Residential Services, the RCS helps implement each resident's plan of care, respects residents' rights, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prefer a minimum of two years of college in psychology, social work, mental health or related fields.
• Experience in dealing with emotionally disturbed preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows instructions given by Program Director/RCS Supervisor as outlined in policies and procedure.
• Provides care to child/adolescent (9-18) in a manner that considers safety, residents’ rights, comfort, level of development, and the therapeutic environment.
• Assists with admission, discharge, and transfer of residents.
