Job summary

Havenwyck Hospital in Auburn Hills, Michigan, is seeking a Residential Care Specialist for the overnight shift (7:00pm–7:30am) to provide safe, therapeutic care for children and adolescents under supervision. You will monitor residents’ behavior, assist with activities of daily living, and support admissions, discharges and transfers within a structured setting.

The role emphasizes safety, residents’ rights, and collaborative care within a respected behavioral health environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prefer a minimum of two years of college in psychology, social work, mental health, or related fields.
• Experience dealing with emotionally disturbed preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows instructions by Program Director/RCS Supervisor as outlined in policies and procedures.
• Provides care to child/adolescent (9-18) with safety, rights, comfort and development in mind.
• Assists with admission, discharge, and transfer of residents.
• Assists with resident trips outside the center transporting residents in hospital van, as needed.
