Job summary

Fastenal Co. is hiring for an entry-level Full-time Receiving role at our Jessup distribution center in PA. You will verify incoming inventory, label and move products using RF scanners, and help prepare items for the next department within a fast-paced warehouse.

This position emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and adherence to health, safety and sustainability goals. Onboarding will precede any schedule flexibility, with potential for later shifts.

Qualifications

• Proficient written and oral communication.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Able to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed.
• Pass the required drug screen where applicable in the US.

Responsibilities

• Operate computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product.
• Unload product.
• Inspect orders for accuracy and report discrepancies.
• Inspect product for quality and accuracy.
• Use a scale for weighing product.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Comply with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations.
• Participate in programs supporting health, safety and sustainability objectives.
