Job summary

The Radiology Technologist at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. performs x-ray scans and supports emergency and ICU imaging, including fluoroscopy cases, while working the night shift Sunday through Thursday.

They ensure patient care and safety, explain procedures, maintain RIS/PACS records, and comply with radiation safety standards, continuing education, and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an approved ARRT program or High School Diploma/GED with ARRT Certification.
• Knowledge of RIS systems.
• Knowledge of PACS systems.
• BLS – Basic Life Support.
• AHA – American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Position radiographic equipment to produce images with necessary detail for diagnosis.
• Explain radiographic procedures to patients and obtain relevant history.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Provide staff and patient protection following radiation safety standards.
• Implement and monitor radiation regulations and clinical protocols.
• Maintain and test x-ray equipment and document results.
• Update patient and study information for billing and RIS/PACS accuracy.
• Perform other related duties as directed by lead technologist or supervisor.
