Job summary

Jefferson Health seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform x-ray scans and support diagnostic imaging on an evening shift. The role includes patient interaction, procedure explanations, and strict adherence to radiation safety standards.

The position requires ARRT-certified training and familiarity with RIS/PACS systems, with travel between Jefferson locations as needed. The incumbent will maintain equipment, update patient records, and participate in continuing education to sustain licensure

Qualifications

• ARRT-registered radiologic technologist program or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or GED with ARRT certification.
• Knowledge of RIS systems and PACS imaging platforms.
• BLS certification as required by the role.

Responsibilities

• Position radiographic equipment to obtain diagnostic images with correct detail.
• Explain procedures and obtain relevant patient history for examinations.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and use shielding as required.
• Maintain and calibrate x-ray equipment and document results.
• Ensure accurate patient records and billing data in RIS/PACS.
• Follow clinical protocols and participate in quality assurance activities.
• Maintain continuing education to meet licensure requirements.
• Travel between Jefferson locations as needed.
• Support the lead technologist, supervisor or manager as directed.
