Job summary

Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO is seeking a radiologic technologist to perform general diagnostic radiographic exams in an acute care setting for adult and pediatric patients. The position requires an Associate degree in Radiography, ARRT(R) certification, and BLS within 30 days.

Night shifts, 29 hours per week, with a shift differential; benefits start on day one. You will work closely with radiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, safe imaging in accordance with

Qualifications

Associate degree in Radiography is required.
ARRT(R) certification must be held.
BLS certification required within 30 days of employment.
At least 4 years of radiography experience.

Responsibilities

Performs general X-ray examinations, including fluoroscopy and intra-op imaging.
May assist with QC or provide back-up coverage in Pain Clinic.
Explains procedures to patients and maintains a safe, comfortable environment.
Provides pre- and post-procedure patient care.
Reviews patient charts to verify exam orders and reasons for exam.
Interviews patients regarding history, implants, allergies, etc.
Positions patients and follows protocols to obtain diagnostic images.
Operates imaging equipment and adheres to ALARA guidelines.
Monitors patients for adverse reactions and supports radiologists.
