Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform X-ray and imaging procedures, including portable, fluoroscopic, and C-arm exams, while ensuring patient safety and quality imaging. The role involves positioning, documentation, and assisting radiologists.

The position requires graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program, with 1–3 years of experience preferred or consideration of new graduates, and will involve night shifts with a 24-hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• 1–3 years of radiography experience preferred.
• New graduates will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic, portable, c-arm and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Reviews patient history and coordinates with radiologist as needed.
• Provides patient education.
• Operates imaging equipment and selects exposure factors per protocol.
• Assesses and ensures image quality and proper identification.
• Maintains ALARA radiation safety practices.
• Documents procedures and reports in EMR and PACS.
