Qualifications

• ARRT registration in Radiography (R) required.
• BLS Healthcare Provider training required by orientation end.
• Ability to take call/standby as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiologic exams using appropriate imaging equipment as per script.
• Verify patient identity and review medical history for exam appropriateness.
• Explain procedure, risks, benefits and alternatives to patients; provide post-care instructions.
• Set up equipment and acquire images; review images and communicate data to radiologist.
• Recognize emergencies; participate in quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Educate residents, student technologists and new employees on imaging procedures.
