Job summary

UofL Health’s South Hospital in Shepherdsville is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for night shift (7:00 PM–4:30 AM). The role involves performing radiographic exams, ensuring radiation safety, and assisting radiologists with complex procedures.

Requirements include ARRT certification within 3 months of hire, a JRC-approved radiologic technology program, and BLS certification. Prior radiography experience is preferred. A KBMIRT license is required before starting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRC-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• One year of general radiography experience preferred but not required.
• ARRT certification required within 3 months of hire; KBMIRT temporary license prior to start date.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations according to established protocols.
• Maintain safety and radiation protection practices for patients and staff.
• Prepare for and assist radiologists with complex examinations.
• Ensure accurate patient identification and order verification.
• Educate patients pre- and post-exam as needed.
• Maintain equipment knowledge and participate in department quality improvement.
