Job summary

UofL Health in Shepherdsville, KY is seeking a Radiologic Tech to perform radiographic examinations in accordance with established protocols and support radiologists. The role emphasizes precise positioning, radiation protection, patient education, and timely delivery of images for interpretation.

Night shift requires teamwork and a patient-centered focus in a busy hospital setting. Education includes a JRC-approved Radiologic Technology program; ARRT certification within 3 months; BLS; KBMIRT

Qualifications

Graduate of a Joint Review Committee (JRC) approved program in Radiologic Technology.
ARRT certification required within 3 months of hire.
KBMIRT temporary license required prior to start date.
BLS certification required.
One year of general radiography experience preferred but not required.
Knowledge of radiation safety and patient protection.

Responsibilities

Perform radiographic examinations according to established protocols.
Maintain accurate patient identification and order verification.
Assist radiologists with intricate radiographic examinations.
Prepare for and administer contrast media per hospital policy and regulations.
Ensure high-quality images and readiness for physician interpretation.
Demonstrate safety practices in radiation exposure and shielding.
