Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the Full-time Night Shift to perform imaging procedures with a focus on patient safety and image quality. You will work within a team to produce diagnostic-quality images, administer contrast per policy, and maintain accurate documentation.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiology Technologist Program, ARRT Radiography certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT Radiography (R) certification recommended.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Apply professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
• Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening for contraindications and patient monitoring.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in medical record and image archive system.
