Day Kimball Health is hiring a Radiographer to join the Diagnostic Imaging department in Putnam, CT. The role involves performing radiographic, mammographic, and fluoroscopic exams with both mobile and stationary equipment during the 11p-7a shift.

Responsibilities include proper exposure technique, radiation protection, patient positioning, and assisting physicians with contrast media. Requires a 2-year Radiologic Technology program, CT license, ARRT certification, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year approved Radiological Technology Program or equivalent.
• Current Connecticut license required.
• ARRT registration or registry-eligible required.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic, mammographic, and fluoroscopic exams with mobile and stationary equipment.
• Set and adjust equipment to apply ionizing radiation for diagnosis with proper exposure factors.
• Practice radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, staff, and self.
• Explain procedures to patients and assist in positioning.
• Assist physicians with prescribed contrast media.
