Job summary

Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Quality Inspector III to join our night shift team in Hagerstown, MD. You will ensure customer specifications are met by inspecting samples, reading job specs, and coordinating with production to ship high-quality results.

The role requires attention to detail, basic math, teamwork, and good communication. Hours are 7:00pm–7:00am, Monday–Thursday, with pay between $21.00 and $27.40 per hour plus a $1.00 night shift differential.

Qualifications

• High levels of attention to detail
• Ability to work as a team and provide direction
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Some mechanical ability required
• Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and supervisors regarding quality issues and questions
• Basic computer skills

• Read job specs and check samples and ensure all manufacturing steps have been completed to customer specifications and standards before shipping out

• Cut sheets for customer samples and complete runs as needed

• Maintain accurate inventory of cardboard and envelopes

• Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures

• All other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for 12-hour shift and lift up to 50lbs

• Ability to bend and reach for extended periods of time

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

• Willingness to operate cutting machinery
