Job summary

Benoit is seeking a Quality Control Specialist I to join the night shift in Houma, LA. You will inspect manufactured products for conformance, interpret drawings, calibrate measuring devices, and document inspections.

You will collaborate with supervisors and CNC operators to ensure traceability and API compliance. The role requires reading technical drawings, performing calibrations, and maintaining quality procedures, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Management or related field, or High School Diploma or GED with 3–5 years manufacturing experience.
• 1–3 years Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience
• Experience with audits (internal & external)
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in gauge set‑up and calibration
• Prior experience in Quality engineering environment
• Proficiency in quality inspection tools and measurement equipment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Adequate visual acuity for safe, accurate work

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the company's products conform to all applicable requirements.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and customer part requirements.
• Inspect and calibrate measuring devices to meet API and company tolerances.
• Perform and document First Article Inspection before production begins.
• Record data on inspection logs and sign off on Work Orders and Router forms.
• Verify CNC operators apply identification numbers and maintain traceability.
• Ensure API Monogram is applied only to qualifying connections and report misuse.
• Remove defective inspection equipment from service and verify calibration stickers.
• Assist operators with lathe set-ups and gauge set-ups to prevent delays.
• Coordinate with supervisors, machine shop staff, and production to plan inspections.
