Job summary

PRETIUM Packaging is seeking a Quality Control Technician for the 10:00 pm – 6:30 am shift in Aurora, IL. The role focuses on inspecting finished products and components, communicating with supervisors, and recording measurements to ensure conformance with company standards.

You will handle sampling, calibration verification, and documentation, contributing to quality improvements while working in a high-temperature, fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school education or equivalent plus specialized training in inspection procedures.
• Requires a minimum of 1 year experience in inspection procedures for manufacturing to gain essential skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished products, products being processed, incoming materials, parts and assemblies for conformance to standards.
• Communicate with shift supervisors about problems, defects (part, packaging, labeling).
• Measure and record data using datamyte systems and dimensional sheets.
• Verify calibration of height gauges, balances, calipers, etc.
• Prepare samples for testing and for shipping to customers; maintain proper paperwork.
• Prepare non-conforming product reports and daily inspection records.
