Job summary

Graphic Packaging International in Shelbyville, IL, is seeking a Quality Assurance specialist to perform quality control inspections and tests during manufacturing, inspecting materials and products at various stages, and recording observations for process improvements.

Qualifications

• Solid computer experience, including Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Access and Excel and other critical computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties in a safe and orderly manner.
• Participate in safety meetings and safety tours.
• Ensure production of products consistent with established food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
• Ensure product quality requirements are maintained using predetermined testing methods
• Perform incoming inspection and release of incoming raw materials.
• Monitor in-process part quality for conformance to standards and perform and record in-process testing.
• Maintain in-process defect library and manage non-conforming materials.
• Complete visual inspection of blanks, cups, bottom stock, and lids to ensure they are free from defects.
